Happy 4th of July

In honor of the 4th of July, this beautiful gal helped me to recreate one of my favorite photos that I had taken when I was just starting out as a photographer several years ago. I have made it my goal to constantly grow and learn in my knowledge and skill as a photographer.  Below is the original one (right) that I took in 2015 in Texas, and the latest in June of this year in Virginia! I will forever love the original, I am so proud of that photo, but I love getting to put into practice the wisdom and knowledge that I have learned over the past couple of years.

This mini session produced some other very beautiful portraits! Everything about this session was amazing.  The golden hour light was magical, the weather just seem to scream today is the perfect day for these photos! Now I have noticed something about my self over the past couple of years, and that is that I am slightly uncomfortable with heights!!!!! I don't always remember being afraid of heights.

Kathryn hoped up on the bridge's wooden railing and while it was not a huge drop it was still enough that I was nervous for her.  She showed no fear and you would think I was the one that was standing up there posing with the way I got butterflies in my stomach. No matter where we were on location this girl rocked it!

I am so blessed to live in a country where I can pursue this wonderful dream of mine, and so proud to showcase that beautiful symbol of our country through my work. I pray blessing on each and everyone of you on this 4th of July!
