Kenny & Alex | Engagement

One of the things that I absolutely love about photography is this: no two sessions are ever the same — and Kenny and Alex’s Pocahontas State Park engagement session was no exception! After weeks of it only seeming to rain on the weekends, we got a bit of a break for a couple of hours during the session, with the exception of a couple of sprinkles at the very beginning.

When I got to meet Kenny and Alex for the first time at our consultation, I got to hear about how they fell in love and their journey since then. My favorite part of their story was, that they feel in love while talking around a fire. So of course we had to bring an element of fire into the pictures! I would like to say a special thank you to my wonderful husband for being in charge of building and maintaining the fire, my fire skills are not quite up to par!

Along with a fire element we got to incorporate some Harry Potter elements into Kenny and Alex’s session. I have not done many themed sessions, so I was especially excited for this one! I mean, I finally got to geek out and talk Harry Potter with someone who wanted to listen.
