A Proposal to remember

Hey there everyone! This is Angelina White, I’m excited to be guest blogging about the wonderful surprise proposal I did in collaboration with Ashleigh McDonald Photography! Let me tell you about this incredible day that we were blessed to capture!

Skyler and Elizabeth are a kind couple that show such excitement and zest for life!

Weeks ago, I had originally asked Skyler  and Elizabeth to model for me this summer and it turned out to be the perfect excuse for Skyler to capture this special moment. Skyler met with us to plan every detail out for this beautiful proposal. Rose petals, string lights by the water, mason jars with candles, picture of the two of them hung on twine. It was a dream of a set up. On the day of the actual proposal, the  weather was perfect and the lighting was gorgeous. My husband, Adam, and I walked along the trails of the beautiful park and marveled at what a perfect day it for a proposal. We started setting up the scene before Elizabeth and Skyler arrived at the park with Ashleigh. Ashleigh and I told the soon to be engaged couple that we were testing out new Walkie talkie earpieces for wedding days. We used that as our excuse for Adam staying at the spot to carefully make sure every detail was setup perfectly. We had Skyler and Squid “model” along the trail and under this gorgeous weeping willow before finally heading towards Skyler’s proposal spot. Ashleigh and I could barely contain our excitement over knowing what was about to happen. Ashleigh cleverly went on a head of us so that she could “find” where Adam had gone off to.

Then as we rounded a bend in the trail Skyler lovingly lead Elizabeth to a lighted rose petal covered spot by the water. Once he lead her there, they were in a beautiful world of their own. Her excitement and joy touched us all as we got to capture his proposal. Moments after she joyfully said yes, songs that Skyler had chosen began to play in the background. They began to dance and just revel in the moment of what had just happened. Let me tell you a secret about the music! Adam had pre-downloaded the songs that Skyler had requested...or so he thought. There turned out to be almost no service in the park and the songs hadn’t downloaded. Then all of sudden the music came on through the hidden speaker at exact time that Skyler had asked for us to play the songs! Adam hadn’t even touched his phone to play them! There was enough signal for the time it took to play those songs and Adam hadn’t even hit play. What a perfect way for this perfect proposal to end!

She said "YES"!!!! I mean, how could she not?

A shout out again to Ashleigh Mcdonald Photography for collaborating and helping capture this gorgeous proposal! Thank you to my husband Adam for being the man behind the scenes!
