James and Karlie
We were all watching the weather channel just like the rest of the East Coast the week before Karlie and Jame’s wedding. I’m all for a good storm... just not when it’s going to impact a wedding day. One of the sweetest couples to date were about to get married and we had been hoping all week that the rain would disappear but it didn’t…. and you know what…. IT WAS TOTALLY FINE!
On occasion we had to dodge the rain, but everything turned out perfect. Things got a tiny bit confusing though on the day of the wedding, there were two Ashleigh’s in the bridal party!!! Not complaining at all, I was surrounded by great company all day.
Their wedding took place on the beautiful property of Rock Hill Farm. The rolling hill’s of grass were absolutely beautiful. Karlie and Jame’s Blush, Grey and Teal rustic decor fit in so perfectly with the surroundings.
Getting to go back through all of the photos and just stop and look at them makes me once again realize what a blessing marriage is! Uniting your life with the one you love is such a magical experience and getting to go back and look at that love is priceless. As I was editing, I started to notice Karlie’s and James faces every time they would get around each other! It was almost as if every fear , nervousness and stress would just fade away.
James and Karlie were amazing and their wedding day was an absolute blast. Family, friends and guests celebrated with them for hours and hours despite the weather and it was perfect!
Then came the First Look!!! My favorite part of the day, and I just love what Karlie and James had to say about their experience!
“ Sure I was nervous but more excited to see his reaction. He was turned around not facing me, he was waiting for me to touch his shoulder. When I saw him, all my nerves went away and he hadn’t even turned around yet. The best part was it was just James and I. It was simply the best feeling. We didn’t have everyone looking at us or trying to talk to us, it was just us. It gave us time together to take it all in and breath, it was a breath of fresh air. I love that James and I got to have that moment to ourselves.” - Karlie
